How do I search the library?
There are several ways you can search for resources on the library website:
- Use OneSearch to look for books, articles, digitized content, and many other library resources
- Visit our OneSearch Help Page for tips on how to create your search and use OneSearch filters
- Search specific journal titles or browse journals by category
- Search for online databases and browse databases by subject
- Search in ScholarWorks for theses, dissertations, and other academic and creative works produced by University of Montana faculty, students, and staff

How do I know where to access an online resource?
When using OneSearch, the type of availability is displayed with the search results. You will see a variety of options, including:
- Download PDF
- Online Available
- Check Online Access
- Borrow this item from another library
- Physical location in the Mansfield Library
When you select an item, options for access are displayed under "Online Availability" and "Physical Availability".
Get Physical Materials Sent to You
You can request books that are part of the Mansfield Library’s OneSearch system and if you live 50 miles or more from the library, we will mail the items to you upon request. Here's how to do it:
- Find your item in OneSearch and view the item record
- Place a hold on the item (make sure to log in with your NetID!)
- Once you receive a text or email telling you the item is available, respond to the message letting us know your address.
- We'll send the item to you in a mailer with a return address label on it. You will be responsible for mailing the material back before the due date.
