The idea behind Open Science is not limited to scientific disciplines. Open Data is a key part of Open Science, and data is captured, generated, or used in almost every academic discipline. Open Data refers to making research data openly available in order to broaden access to it, encourage its re-use, support greater reproducibility and transparency in research, build public trust in research data, and increase its impact.
