Group Activity

Below are two pieces from self-identified think tanks that conduct research focused on the minimum wage in the United States.

  1. The class will be split into groups. Each group is assigned different facets of source evaluation to focus on for this exercise:
    • Bias
    • Authority
    • Credibility
    • Purpose
    • Reliability
  2. (15 min) Focus on the questions for your group on the handout as you investigate the sources and their information.
  3. (10 min) Each group will discuss their findings with the rest of the class.
