The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) hopes to roll out the Emergency Broadband Benefit program by the end of April. This FCC program will help households struggling to pay for internet service during the pandemic, and will include: 

• $50 per month discount on broadband service
• $75 per month for households on Tribal Land 
• One-time discount up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers.

The program provides financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020.
