LING 473/573 - Language and Culture: Mansfield Library Resources

Welcome! This guide will help you get started in your research for Language and Culture.

Search Individual Databases

Finding a Grammar Text

The Mansfield Library has grammar books for multiple languages, although we have more in some languages than others.

To find a grammar book in the library you will want to search in OneSearch. I always like to start by going to "Advanced Search" and then using the search boxes.  Type in your language in the first search box and then the term "grammar" in the second.  For example, a search using the keywords "Russian" AND "grammar" comes up with over 40,000 results. The next step is to use the limiters to the left to narrow down the results.  Select "books" under "Resource Type" to limit the results to only include books.  You can further narrow the results by choosing "Availability", "Subject", or even "Publication Date".
