A Note on Keywords

When doing any kind of interdisciplinary research it is important to consider the variations among keywords. Making sure you search for all keyword variations will result in a more complete bibliography.

For example, here are some keywords that might be useful in your research for this class:

"Native American"/"American Indian"/Indigenous/Tribal

Blackfoot/Blackfeet/Blood/Piegan

"Second language"/"Second Language Acquisition"/"Language Acquisition"/"Language Revival"

Remember to put quotations around word phrases. This lets the database know to search for the phrase "American Indian" rather than for the words "American" and "Indian."
