Financial Industry Databases allow you to search stock market and financial information. These databases work best with public companies.

Edgar: A government database operated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). All companies, foreign and domestic, are required to file registration statements, periodic reports, and other forms electronically through Edgar. Anyone can access and download this information for free. 

Misc. Databases

Thomas Register of Manufacturers: Research information on manufacturers.

Value Line Research Center: Financial information about large and mid-cap U.S. public companies: historical, forecasts, market performance, analyst consensus, beta, key ratios, business description, and commentary.

WISERTrade: Focus on analytics and comprehensive data on international trade from 107 countries.
