About the Author

Ahmed Rashid was born June 9, 1948 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He attended Malvern College, Government College and Cambridge University. Rashid currently resides in Pakistan and has published three other books. He also regularly writes for international newspapers and broadcasts.
